Yes, it is. No matter how old you are, learning and exploring new things always makes you happy. Learning new skills always reminds you that its lot more out there for you to learn.
But! what makes you to stop learning? Fear, ignorance, satisfaction or all of them.
Fear of failure is the primary cause of not trying. "लोग क्या सोचेंगे" thought is also a type of fear that keeps you on the back foot. Though it is not easy to overcome fear, but it is the first obstacle to be removed to start something new. You know that children learns very fast, and the major reason behind it is that their curiosity to explore new things exceeds their fear of failure.
We normally ignore the things which do not seem to be productive for us. Learning an art or a skill is always comes under unproductive things. So, we choose to ignore the learning of new skills or to develop a hobby. Owning a brand new DSLR is easy if you have sufficient money, but using a DSLR requires interest and desire to learn.
The satisfaction, that whatever you know, is enough for you keeps you away from learning new things. In my opinion, overcoming fear is easier.
So, Why learn new things?
I think learning and exploring new things makes you more creative and keeps you motivated. Learning and exploring keep you happier than before. Learning new things require lots of positive thought, so when you learning and exploring you are miles away from stress and anxiety.
So, what are you waiting for, just pull up your socks and just do what you like to do, and that can be anything photography, painting, blogging, cycling, hiking, creating videos, cooking and much more! Learning new thing is fun but its important too.
